ANNA MARLOWE - Anna’s parents are both artists. Drawing on the walls of her childhood home, her parents encouraged her to explore slightly less costly mediums. She has always enjoyed art. She and her father partnered their efforts on several sculptures that are still on display in their family home. Her schooling included the AP Art program at Westtown School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in 1994 from Washington College in Maryland. After several years of non-art related employment, Anna was offered an apprenticeship by her tattoo artist, now become partner and husband. Anna has been tattooing for four years, with the guidance and support of James. As her portfolio demonstrates, she enjoys clean design elements and colorful pallets. JAMES MARLOWE - James Marlowe has been an artist since "day one". From his first drawings at age 4, James has devoted himself to his artistic self-expression. Throughout his schooling he concentrated his efforts in the artistic mediums of pencil, pen and ink, as well as painting. James had always wanted to become a tattoo artist. He started tattooing at age 19 after having completed several apprenticeships in Virginia and California. Now, with fourteen years of experience, he has an extensive portfolio that demonstrates his vast artistic talent. James has also been commissioned to do artwork for custom motorcycle paint jobs and display pieces. His signature artistic style is freehanded biomechanical work. He and his wife opened up their shop in partnership with Tom Mitchell in April 2001. Check out James' tattoo gallery.
